Summary of Role
P11 Creative is a Newport Beach-based, real estate-exclusive digital marketing agency. We work with the nation's leading homebuilders, master-planned community developers, and luxury residential brokerages to drive qualified buyer and renter traffic, accelerate community lease-up & sell-out timelines, and build brands that command premium positioning in competitive markets.
Our integrated model spans Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, SEO, Content Strategy, and Analytics — all purpose-built for the complexities of real estate marketing: long sales cycles, community-level targeting, developer-facing reporting, and performance accountability tied to actual closings and lease velocity.
This role is not for a generalist who has dabbled in real estate.
We are looking for a proven digital marketing leader who has built and run performance campaigns specifically for homebuilders, developers, multifamily operators, or luxury residential clients — and is ready to step into a senior director seat, own client relationships at the executive level, and drive measurable results from day one.
As the Digital Account Director, you will be the senior strategic leader accountable for the health, profitability, and growth of our agency's most important client relationships across the real estate industry. This is a dynamic, high-impact role that blends senior client relationship management with deep strategic digital expertise, acting as the critical bridge between our clients' real estate business objectives and our agency’s integrated marketing solutions.
You will be responsible for developing and executing holistic digital strategies that seamlessly integrate Paid Search, SEO, Paid Social, Programmatic and Content strategy into one unified, data-backed approach. You will partner with cross-functional internal teams and maintain a significant client-facing presence to drive client satisfaction, retention, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Digital Expertise (The Strategist)
- Integrated Digital Strategy: Develop, pitch, and execute cohesive, full-funnel digital marketing strategies that unify paid, organic, and content channels to drive measurable business impact.
- Cross-Channel Vision: Provide strategic oversight for campaign build-out and implementation across all major paid and organic social media platforms, staying up-to-date on platform changes and evolving requirements.
- Executive Presence: Deliver high-level strategic presentations to our real-estate client executive teams, translating complex digital strategies and performance data into clear business outcomes and actionable recommendations.
- SEO Mastery: Serve as the internal and client-facing expert on advanced SEO best practices, including AI-powered SEO, keyword research, on-page optimization, e-commerce, voice search, local/hyperlocal search strategy for community-level and regional real estate markets, and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). Ensure all strategies are built on a solid foundation of technical and content-based principles.
2. Client Business Leadership & Commercial Stewardship (The Business Lead)
- Client Relationship Management: Own the most critical client relationships, ensuring exceptional service, strategic relevance, and client retention. Proactively identify and resolve high-level client concerns. Lead monthly reviews that frame performance through a real estate business lens.
- Growth & Profitability: Drive revenue growth within the existing client portfolio by identifying opportunities to expand services into new business units and service lines and ensure the strategic health and profitability of accounts. Partner with the executive team on new business pitches, bringing real estate market intelligence, competitive positioning, and credible campaign benchmarks to every proposal.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the agency lead within the client’s marketing team, collaborating with internal and external partners (e.g., creative, media) to deliver holistic market insights and cohesive execution.
3. Data Analysis, Reporting & Storytelling (The Analyst)
- Advanced Analytics: Oversee and conduct in-depth data analysis using platforms including Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, GA4,, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager. Interpret data in the context of real estate market conditions, seasonal cycles, and community-specific absorption rates.
- Data Visualization: QA & monitor interactive dashboards and custom reports in Looker Studio, ensuring data is accurately integrated via APIs from CRMs, Email Marketing, and other platforms (e.g., Meta & LinkedIn Tagging).
- Data-Driven Storytelling: Transform complex data sets into a clear, compelling narrative that explains performance, highlights wins/opportunities, and provides concrete, business-focused action plans for the client.
4. Account Management & Process Improvement (The Operator)
- Client Onboarding Oversight: Co-ownership of the Client Onboarding process. Work with the executive team and Account Managers to develop a standardized, efficient, and scalable process for account access, content approvals, reporting integration, and implementation.
- Project & Process Management: Ensure operational excellence across all accounts. This includes maintaining key internal and client-facing trackers, setting clear deadlines, tracking progress, managing multiple simultaneous projects, and leading timely internal and client communication. Resolve high-level escalations within 24–48 hours with a clear, client-protective path forward.
- Team Enablement: Support the tiered Account Manager structure to balance workload and introduce scalability. Support escalation requests for digital team members, guiding them on complex client issues and strategic challenges.
- Drive Operational Efficiency: Use AI/automation tools to drive efficiency: prompt engineering, workflow automation, AI-assisted reporting, and platform-native AI tools.
Required Skills & Core Competencies
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 3+ years in a senior client-facing Account Director role within a real estate-focused agency or in-house at a developer, builder, or multifamily operator. Preferably within an agency environment.
- Proven expertise in real estate (specifically multifamily) or comparable high-value asset marketing is required
- Deep, demonstrable expertise in Paid Search, Paid/Organic Social, Programmatic strategy, and SEO.
- Expert-level proficiency in GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager & Looker Studio.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to C-Suite executives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and deliver under pressure.
- Expert in managing tiered account structures, workload balancing, and high-level digital strategy escalations to drive team efficiency and client satisfaction.

Role Key Result Areas
Strategic Integrated Leadership: Ensure all key accounts have a unified, full-funnel digital strategy that has a cohesive balance of paid, organic, and content channels.
- 100% of client accounts have a strategic roadmap for digital marketing execution and corresponding media schedules.
- Maintain a 95% client retention rate for their client portfolio through proactive high-level strategy, executive presence and relationship building.
- Deliver monthly Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) for clients that translate technical data into digestible business outcomes.
Client Growth & Commercial Stewardship: Drive the financial health of the digital department through account expansion and profitability.
- Achieve a 15% year-over-year revenue growth within the existing client portfolio through increased community count, ad spend, or service expansion.
- Maintain a portfolio profit margin target (as defined by the executive team) by optimizing resource allocation and tiered support.
- Identify and successfully close at least two new clients per year.
Data Integrity & Insightful Storytelling: Move beyond "reporting" to "data-driven storytelling" that proves P11’s impact.
- QA accuracy for all Looker Studio dashboards, ensuring API integrations (CRMs, Meta, Google Ads) are verified and functional.
- Implement a "Performance Narrative" standard where every report includes executive summaries, key takeaways and opportunities while referencing industry benchmarks, eliminating raw data dumps.
Operational Excellence & Scaling: Standardize the "P11 Way" of onboarding and managing accounts to allow for easier scaling.
- Co-develop and launch a Standardized Digital Onboarding Blueprint that reduces the "time-to-launch" for new accounts.
- Update manager weekly on client satisfaction, wins and setbacks to provide the executive team with further visibility into accounts.
- Actively maintain all key documents including MTD pacing, media schedules, reporting & analytics, P11 digital directory, onboarding docs, etc.
Team Enablement & Escalation Support: Act as a mentor and safety net for the tiered Account Manager structure.
- Conduct weekly touchbases with Account Managers to review complex client issues and provide high-level strategic guidance. Loop in manager on an as needed basis for concerns that cannot be solved.
- Resolve 100% of high-level digital escalations within 24–48 hours, providing a clear path forward that protects the client relationship.
- Successfully mentor junior team members to elevate their areas for improvement & grow their book of business.
