Keeping the spirit of giving alive this holiday season, P11 hosted another Barbara J. Stewart Coffee Chat featuring Gina Cunningham. For over two decades, Gina has been a passionate and driving force at HomeAid Orange County. She has been a vital part of this non-profit’s mission to “help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.” Recently, Gina was awarded the Barbara J. Stewart Award and special recognition by the building industry at the 2023 So Cal MAME Awards for her work. Congratulations Gina. At this Coffee Chat, she spoke about what her professional growth and experience have been like over the years and why homelessness matters so much to her. The Barbara J. Stewart Alliance consists of talented and hard-working women leaders from all facets of the local home-building industry.

“Thanks to Gina, P11 has received so many toiletry kits to give to the homeless during direct outreach throughout the years. Having basic items like these helps people living on the streets feel less alone. Plus, it’s a convenient way to begin to engage, build trust over time, and offer opportunities for them to connect to case management, medical and mental health care, and ultimately, housing if they choose.
