P11 Blanket Drive Update for Giving Tuesday

The donations are steadily coming in, and we’re doing weekly outreach in real time to help our homeless friends in Orange County stay warmer. Big shoutouts to Lisa Parrish, Myle Phan, Ed Perfetti/Momentum, McKenna ONeill, Tierney McNames, Sandy Pedersen, Heather Anderson, Terrill Peterson, Suzanne Maddalon, Kelly Borgen, Annie Gerard, Ed Perfetti/Momentum, Lynn Klug, Valerie Hardman, and the P11 team for their generous donations!

But we still need more donations to help those in need make it through December and into January.

THERE ARE 3 EASY WAYS TO HELP

1. DROP OFF.

Clean your closet and find items to donate that are suitable for the colder weather. If you are local in Orange County, we could use some gently used and in good condition adult-sized hoodies, sweatshirts, coats, scarves, jeans, sneakers, and blankets.
Or purchase the items yourself and bring them to the P11 studio from Tues-Thurs 9-6.

We’re located in The Jetty Office Complex (not the midrise building)
20331 Irvine Ave., E5, Newport Beach, CA 92660
949 691-3040

2. BUY & SHIP IT.

Buy them online and have them shipped to P11. 20331 Irvine Ave., E5, Newport Beach, CA 92660
949 691-3040

3. VENMO IT.

Leigh White, P11’s Senior Content Strategist, will buy the items for you. Her Venmo is @leighwhiteart. She’s been doing weekly direct outreach and advocacy for almost ten years.

“I was doing outreach on Thanksgiving Day. To be able to meet homeless folks where they are and give them blankets, beanies, gloves, socks, food, water, and toiletries was amazing — and all thanks to the very generous P11 Blanket Drive donors. I spent most of the afternoon listening to what they had to say, how they felt, and just connecting on a human level right there on the streets. These simple things like blankets are a safe and gentle way to connect and understand one another, create trust, and help them choose services and housing. One homeless gentleman said he thought no one cared about homeless people. I smiled and told him he was very wrong. A lot of people care,” said P11’s Leigh White.
